NICE!

And I think I can help you with your gear problem. Can you feel it through the tranny? More so in 1 particular gear than another? More when letting off the gas? A whine too when its shuttering?

I believe he put the crush nut backwards and the pinion gear is now loose. Crawl under the car and see if you can move the pinion gear up and down or in/out....should be apparent even with driveshaft in.

I did that when I put the 3.27s back in my GT...made alot of noise on decel especially. Lots of vibration in 3rd gear especially. turned the sleeve around and totally fixed the issue Good as stock. Hopefully thats all that is wrong.

I noticed it mostly in 5th gear because I was on the highway, it seemed like if i went over about 2000 rpms at that particular speed (speedo is broke so i dont know the exact speed) that it made the noise. It is extremely loud like an airplane lol

And yes i can feel it thought the tranny, i think ill just have a local shop rebuild the rear end for me

Be careful with the t-tops. They used to leak when new. Imagine being over 20 years old.
