yea the bolt snapped in half and it flew off and was wedged in between my valve cover and the firewall. i was surprised i found it. didnt know i lost it until i fired my car up and heard the belt squealing. called kenne bell and sent pictures and am waiting to hear back from them to decide what i am going to do. i still have to get the other half of the bolt out too.

yea i can get it out but i would rather not fool with it here at school either cause i dont really have the time for it.

I am just glad it happened around here instead of on the highway when i was driving home or something and the throw the belt or something. that would have sucked lol

oh and about 2 weeks ago i was replacing a new intercooler pump cause my first one died on me hahaha and kenne bell sent me a new one for free lol. 3rd thing gone wrong so far. first was thrown belt that got shredded to bits 2nd was the intercooler pump and now the idler pulley hahaha.

Geez, you'd expect it to be made out of some serious metal for the price the kit is, not that's it's overpriced, just that's it's still a hefty pile of cash.

i talked to them today they are overnighting me a new pulley and bolt. i only really need the bolt. he said he is surprised it broke because they are even coated too. they told me to try and get the rest of the bolt out. and if i cant send them the bracket and they will send me a new one.

he said he may be sticking out the back of the bracket enough to get it out so we shall see.

I wonder what grade bolt they used for that. Do you still have the head? How many bars are on it?

To shear a bolt like that is impressive.

10.9 is metric equiv of Grade 8....slightly weaker.

But it's still a strong bolt! Wow, that's amazing!
