Looks like its really going to need the 1 inch plus the 3/8 spacer which also means the hood doesn't close. I really like the steel 2 inch cowl hood and the car does need paint but dayum this thermostat is going to turn into a $10k mini-build. What would you do? Put smaller VCs on? I really like the one on there but I don't know.

Different valve covers, don't like raised hoods and if I've gotta cut a hole in my hood it will be for a roots blower!!

No way in hell I'm cutting open a hood for a Holly intake. Not unless it's Christmas time.


Would your two-inch steel hood cover the entire ordeal or is the two-inch hood need 'the treatment' in order to work?

Looks like it should just clear as is. Before they had the bracing in the way but it looks like they have modified it since.

For that money they should bring it to your house, help you install it and check the oil too!!!

Well I think I am just going to get new valve covers for the time being. Its the cheaper and more importantly much faster way to finish the car right now. Paint is in its future so will probably do a hood of some sort to allow the valve covers to be installed. Oh well live and learn.
