I've seen these before, and it's great innovation. The performance you can get from a tire like that must be staggering, because it will maintain the correct tire patch without allowing the tire to 'roll over' in a hard turn like pneumatic tires. It's very possible this is the future for tires, but I would imagine for those who don't like the open spoke look, they can add a venier of rubber to appear like a regular tire.

Imagine how much lighter such a combination is compared to our 50lb EACH wheel/tire combinations?!

it would definitely cut down on the amount rubber which is expensive these days..im very intrigued by this..good find

I think its cool. I definitely agree that they need to atleast cover up the outside sidewall to make it look better.

I think the prototype doesn't have a sidewall so that they can market it and the "average joe" will understand how it is different from normal tires.

the tweel wont have a sidewall on it when it hits the market, you see it as it will be.. i think its a great concept, but you wont see me putting it on my car.. maybe if they made a 44" mudder i would try it on my truck.. second thought no.. mud would get in there lol

it will not be produced anytime soon. there are all kinds of problems with them. we heard about these at work a few years back
