ive noticed that on my stang, the rubber sealing on the bottom of the rear windshield is loose. ive checked other stangs and they have the same problem. it is a rubber strip that fits under the window, where it meets the trunk lid, but it just kinda hangs there a little in the middle. why is this??

My 03 did the same thing. Had the dealer fix it. It's not supposed to just hang there.

Mine has the same problem. Only, my warranty is way up. Any suggestions on how to keep it stationary and not hanging in the middle???

I know what your talking about. It seems to stay in place just fine, but when Im drying the car or whatever it acts like it might just pop right off. Pisses me off. I might try to take it in Tues to get it glued or something Glad Im not the only one though

I hadn't heard of this before, I'll have to check that out. Fortunately I still have a month and a half left on warranty if it's a problem. Thanks for the heads up!

Mine does the same thing. I was going to fix it once, tried to push it onto the window, and when it didn't go, I gave up then and there.

So this is on the outside of the car? ... where some cars have their third brake light?

EDIT: Ok, I have that rubber flap too. But it doesn't seperate from the window. I'll have to keep an eye on it.

Mine was like this also, noticed it a few weeks after I bought the car. I just pulled it back and put a thin bead of black silicone along the bottom of the window, and pushed it back on. I haven't had a problem with it since.

Mine does it as well....Fact I was tinkering with it tonight while washing the car, trying to fix it. I can jam it up in there but days later it just comes undone. To me, it looks like the strip is to long, and since they are laser cut from a mold, it would make sence that most stangs have this problem and a few just get lucky.
