Chin Spoiler

i dont know if it is just me but the new 05 mustang is getting way to much attention, and for what i dont know. they dont even have a throttle cable anymore, so whats the fun in that. i have a feeling even though it has started with this one thing...a lot more parts will be affected by the new 05

So those were OEM on 94-95's? Mine never had nothing like that (I like it - I first saw it on Chris's car).

I just have the 12 dollar radiator dam, which basically sits under the radiator. It has a couple pieces or trim which flank it.

Hmmmmm, me wantie these things.

I have a CDC chin spoiller on my 95. You can see the pics on members.cardomain.com/v8302stangs
if you want.

I'm somewhat of an amature at installing body parts and it was quite an experience for me. I first used just screws to attatch it but after tapping a curb or two it started coming lose, plus it was a pain to remove and put back on. I then tried double sided sticky tape which did not work. Finally I used a combination of screws washers and these nuts that dig into the back of my stock fascia and now it goes on and off like a sinch. Pics of those and a quick description on my page.

OH btw, does anyone know any good tricks to bending polyurethane that has been bent out of shape? I found that just bending it and holding it in that place for a few hours can do the trick but was wondering if anyone knew any tricks to make it easier.

I got my chin spoiler from mustang tuning and it came all bent every which way.. left it sitting in my garage over night like they said, and it went back to it's normal shape.. since everyones all out I'll sell mine to someone for $400  supply and demand?

No, the chin spoilers weren't OEM.
Cool thanks :nice: (I dont pay that much attention to this stuff, so I am out of the loop).
I was sure that Chris's was not OEM (he has a different bumper I think too), but the way the verbage on one of the links read, it left me with the impression that it could have been oem.

I still like it quite a bit.

Well, that's mustang tuning and cdc not taking orders. They just stop makin' em or something?
Now Im going to have to make one out of that vinyl garden edging. lol

When I think of chin spoilers, the Boss 302 comes to mind. I wonder how that spoiler would look on an SN-95...

Just like this:

Oops my bad. For some reason I was thinking it was aftermarket.

But yeah, I really dig your ride and it was the one I was talking about. I need that stupid rubber/plastic lip around the base of the bumper - it makes it complete and lowers the center of attention. :nice:

It's all good. :nice: I can see how it could be hard to believe that a stock bumper looks as good as mine. :p

and come on... we all know you're rolling in money. :D

EDIT: Oh yea, you mentioned that radiator dam. That thing is useless as far as I'm concerned. It's supposed to deflect air up into the radiator or whatever to help with cooling, but I ditched mine soon after doing my chin spoiler and so no ill side effects. If you don't like the looks of it (I hated it) then you could ditch it real easily. :nice:
