 i've been told both... i've got a Saleen Supercharger and i want to run stock boost on my 00GT....it came w/ 30lb injectors, and i was thinking of getting a Focus fuel pump (any input on the fuel pump??)

i've read on the boards that mostly people get a dyno tune, but i went to my friend who has a shop that works on Stangs (among other cars) he told me to jsut call Saleen and have them mail me a chip and tell them my mods... Which are pretty much an off-road H and catbacks...he said being that my car is pretty much stock that getting it dyno tuned doesn't pay, he said if i had cams and/or heads, or i was running some crazy boost then it'd be necessary to get a dyno tune but for my stock setup the best bet is just to have Saleen Burn me a chip...

does anyone have any suggestions/comments??

When you're running FI, you do NOT wanna mess around with "somebody else's" chip. The only way to go IMHO is a custom tune via dyno. EVERY car is different, and say that Saleen chip they send you runs you too lean at one point, it won't take much to pop a HG. Get it dynoed.

No problem. :nice: I'm sure in some cases a mail order tune might work, but with a supercharger or nitrous or turbo......... do you really wanna take the chance? That would be a hell of an expensive lesson to learn, where a dyno tune you should be safe. Good luck, have fun with that blower!
