Before I got my GT and had my v6, I always thought that GT's could chirp 3rd gear under WOT. I can't seem to do that, and was just wondering if it was because my GT is underpowered or if it's normal and i'm just paranoid.

thanks :)

its not hard. Depends on the tires and the road. try it on a 'Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me''Kiss Me'ty road once and watch the rearend get sideways.

4th is fun ;)

Kiss me, Kiss me, kiss me??? I dont get it. Are you a big cure fan or something? I must be missing something.

i bet you're just shifting too slow... i could chirp 3rd when i got my 03 new... with the stock 3.27 its possible to chirp 4th too but ive only dont it once... 3.73 and 4.10's easy chirp in 4th. go out to a really smooth road and try shifting at around 5800rpm... really clost to redline if not right on it.... plus the stock shifter sucks... buy a Tri-Ax... thatll help

Yeah I've been able to chirp 3rd with the factory shifter and 355 gear several times since I purchased the car. Actually its not the easiest with the long throw from 2nd to 3rd but my triax is on the way and I expect it to be muuuch easier then.

I used to have a major crush on the lead singer (Robert Smith) when I was 14. :nonono:

To keep this on-topic, I have chirped my tires going into 2nd gear in my auto, but I don't pay attention to it and I'm not sure under which circimstances I do it, or how to try and do it purposefully. I'm new to all this, and that's my excuse. :(
