Suggestions, I have a 1967 convertible that I just about have on the road and I just put an electric choke (edelbrock part 1174) on my edelbrock carb and I feel stupid because I 'm not sure what is the best thing to hook the hot wire too. I'm trying to be really careful since I almost have it done and I don't want to mess it up now any suggestions wld be gratly appreciated. I have a 302 motor in car thanks for any help-Meek

you can connect the hot wire to the oil pressure sending unit wire or the temp sending unit wire. do not however connect to the power side of the ignition coil as that will cause problems.

Put it on the "S" (Stator) terminal on the back of the alternator. This terminal is unused on cars (like ours) that have ammeters instead of ALT lights. Ford hooked their 1970's factory electric chokes this way. I have personally hooked my Edelbrock chokes up this way and they have worked just fine. So do Holleys, for that matter.
