I was hoping to find some interior chrome door handles for my new 06 Mustang GT to replace the stock brushed ones. The only place I could find was here:

http://store.cal-mustang.com/showdetl-7-10269-25-0.html

but that price seems a little steep to me ($140). So I started browsing Ford's website and noticed that the Fusion looks like it comes with chrome interior door handles that appear to be the same type as the mustang. (see the 360 view of interior)

http://www.fordvehicles.com/cars/fusion/

does anyone know if it is possible to change out the mustang door handles with the fusion ones and/or where to buy stock fusion interior door handles. Also if anyone else knows a source of where to get chrome interior door handles for a little cheaper that would work too. Thanks.

Not sure, from the look it seems the handles are pretty identical but not as flat, but the image is a little low resolution to make it out. I would call up the parts department of a dealership and check the price and see one up front. If the dimensions are on, then I might just try it. Your call. Might help if you had a Mustang one free to compare at the time. Good luck and let us know if it works. Would be interesting to know.

i thought the same thing. i also wondered about chrome outside handles, like the mazda 6 handles. surely one would interchange (hopeful thinking).

I'm pretty sure they'd be the same handle, but don't quote me on it just yet.

On ebay, they have a lot of chrome outer handles. A few also have the pics on the mustangs. IMO doesn't look good.

the chrome outside handles also depend on the car.i think on an all black car, with black tint, and chrome wheels, the chrome outside handles should look good. without other chrome on the car, it would not look good. just like the other appearance mods, you have to keep a common theme going. you cant mix influences and make it look good most of the time.
