Chrome or Polished Bullitt 17's???

I’m thinking about buying either chrome or polished aluminum bullet wheels for my 100% stock suspension 65 coupe w/289. I thinking about saving $100 bucks and buying the polished aluminum?

This is the brand I'm thinking about buying:

Anyone have any experience w/ this brand/company?

Also any comments on fitment greatly appreciated. I know I will require a wheel adapter. From dodgestang's fitment guide I should have no problems with the below setup?

Wheel is 17 x 8" - 29mm (backspacing) Replica Bullet style w/ 245-45-17 tire.

Why don't you just get these? They are what the "Bullitt" wheels are imitating, and you don't need spacers or adapters to use them. Besides, the backspace number you gave us must be a typo, a wheel with 1.14 inch backspace would be pretty weird.

I'm not interested in the wheels w/ the gray painted spokes or I would buy some used take offs, thanks for your responce.

They aren't painted, they are aluminum. And they don't require 1.25" thick spacers and dangerously long extended studs, they are actually made to fit your car.

If you prefer bling wheels, get these. 17x8, 4.5 backspace, perfect fit without spacers etc.

Wheels are and always will be a personal preference... with that said, I like the polished version that 2+2GT linked in his last post.

The wheels you are lookig at are meant for later model Mustangs. Yes you can buy spacers, but these not only become a safety item when you start getting too big, the wheels just never look right on the classic Mustangs IMHO. If you like the classic 5 spoke style, there are plenty of wheel choices available. You will end up spending ~$100 on spacers to make the other ones fit. I would rather spend that on just getting the correct wheel for the car. No regrets.

Regardless of the brand of wheel you choose, go with either chrome or clear coated aluminum. The bare polished aluminum is a pain to keep looking good. I had one set of those on my F150 for a few years and ditched them for OEM wheels.

I also feel like the chrome wheels were a great look in the 70's & 80's but the polished alum. is hard to beat. Just get a mothers polish ball and hit them from time to time!

Whats your wheel & tire / supension setup, thats what I'm lookin for (on a buget).
