hey i have one more question i was wondering about how much it would cost to chrome up my engine. i wish i knew how to add pictures to show you my engine, to help with an estimate, i might try something to see if it works. also i was wondering how much a decent tint would cost, and how much a good paintjob would cost, i was trying to go with maaco but not the 200 deal, i wanted to get the special blue which is subaru specific on the wrx STi's specifically i really like that color so if i went to maaco how much would i be looking at for a good paint job with just the solid color.

thanks again guys and girls

Paint is not cheap no matter what you do, unless you know someone. Also, unless you do all the prep work on your car yourself, and just have Macco paint it, then it might come out pretty good. They put very little work into thier prep work, which is where it counts. Even paint is not cheap, and a special color like you want is probably even more expensive.

Oh yeah, I know someone that had thier car painted at Macco, they did a bad job taping up the car, there was paint on the inside of the rims, and on the tailpipes. They are pretty much, hack, rush jobs.

Remember, you get what you pay for.

The problem with chroming everything is every smudge, oil spot and finger print shows up. You will forever be polishing.

why not just polish out the aluminum??? Takes about 30 bucks for supplies, along with some time, and you will have a mirror like chrome finish!!! There is really a lot of pieces that can be polished.....
