Channel AMC if you have it, 8 p.m. Eastern time.
Everyone I know that has seen this remembers at least one quote from this movie classic w/ Paul Newman from 1967. If you've never seen it you gotta check out Lucille washing her car

Captain: (calling out names) Lucas Jackson?
Luke: Here, captain.
Captain: Maliciously destroying municipal property while under the influence. What was that?
Luke: Cuttin' the heads off parking meters, captain.
Captain: Oh. We ain't never had one of them before.

[On why he cut the heads off parking meters] Small town, not much to do in the evenin'.

We actually watched it in one of my high school social studies classes. Can't remember exactly why, but it's a good movie.

Probably to show the brutality of chain gangs back then. I couldn't imagine doing years in a prison camp like that, let alone one week.

Are you kidding me? Why didn't I ever get to see neat movies in high school? The only things we ever saw were things like Edgar Allen Poe flicks and "For Whom The Bell Tolls". What did you guys get see for driver's ed? Bullitt?

When I was a freshman in HS, our teacher had us watch "Psycho". Don't know WHAT that was supposed to teach us--I was scarred for life.

Psycho was just on that AMC channel to this past week.
What I remember in that movie was when the chair spun around and there was "mother"

Texas Chainsaw Massacre was one I wished I'd never seen, that scared the crap outta me as a kid.

When I was about 8 y/o we went and saw "The Blob" and I had nightmares for weeks afterwards.
Here I was that day having a good ol time shootin flies with my bb gun on a pile of dog sh** and my brother and sister just had to ask if I wanted to go to the movies to see that. Totally ruined an otherwise fun day
