spray the motor w/ simple green, let it sit a bit. then, spray it off. finish w/ a cloth to get water spots off etc.... Apply some tire dressing to hoses etc...

*make sure the motor is stone cold when doing this. spraying cold water on a hot engine block is NOT smart :nonono:

:stupid: Simple Green Rocks! Meijer has it on sale right now. Buy 1 galloon get 2 FREE!

Armor All works good to keep away dirt and build up. I use it under the hood of mine. You can even use it on aluminum to keep it looking new. :nice:

Greased lightning. Plus it doesnt leave residue (white) like some of the engine cleaners in spray cans, etc. Make sure to put plastic bags or something over your coil packs. Then I use a CD2 engine shine. You just spray it on and run your engine (with hood closed) for about 15 minutes. It bakes the shine on and lasts a lot longer than just armor all, etc.

ENGINE MUST BE COLD!!! Avoid spraying alternator, battery, fuse box, anything that looks really electrical. Drape shop towels over the eletrical stuff... Do a search, there are many more tips out there...
