Do I use throttle body and spray it in the little hole inside the MAF to clean it right?

its best to undo the tamper proof torx bolts and remove it from the housing. Then i sprayed it cleaner and wiped it with a kimwipe from the lab... but i assume a cotton swab would do.

So if I sprayed it with throttle body cleaner, will I damage it?

Some throttle cleaners leave a film that you don't want on your MAF. Take it out of the housing and use rubbing alcohol and a cotton swab.

Ok I was going to take it out and clean it, but what kind of tool do I need, looks like a star bolt but with a nipple in it.

Local dealer uses brake cleaner. I prefer electrical contact cleaner.

Non-chlorinated brake cleaner can be almost a twin to elec contact cleaner (with regard to ingredients). It's generally cheaper.

I have had to use other products on the wires but I always finish with the above (residue concerns).

DO be careful because some products will eat the plastic on the sensor.

Rubbing alcohol and a q-tip always got the job done for me. No worries about residue, and the stuff's all laying around the house.

Personally, I sprayed carb cleaner on a q-tip, and used that to clean it off, but any of the above methods would work just fine. And yes, you definitely want to take the actual sensor out of the housing to clean it.
