If you want to remove water spots vinegar will do the trick, those green scratchy pads worked they scratched your paint. You can try some Megs ScratchX and a microfiber towel and start buffing by hand. Take that buffer back it won't help....

The clay bar won't touch water spots or scratches, but Zaino has a product called Z-aio that will get rid of some scratches and the water spots depending on how bad. I had a car that got parked under a tree branch and scratched the hood and the Z-aio made it bearly visible, it's worth a shot.

Clay bar removes contaminates sitting on top of the clear coat, stuff you can feel ,on my zinc yellow it removed tiny black spots that probaly dont show on darker colors.Removes some oxidation and makes the finish feel smooth and helps it look extra shiney.

I must say, this stuff: http://products3.3m.com/catalog/us/...marine_3_0/command_AbcPageHandler/output_html

Is absolutely incredible. My local bodyshop guy showed it to me. Basically my mom had two surface scratches on her car (black paint) and one on her rear light lens. He just rubbed this stuff on, and just like that the scratches were no longer visible. I've never seen anything work as good as this.

Well, since my car's the same color as yours and in the same climate, I have problems with water spots too. I use "3M Dark Car Swirl Remover". It always takes them off with no problems. I just apply it just like anything else with a little electric palm buffer. I also keep it waxed pretty religiously too so that helps before they get there.
