Hey guys I want to get a performer RPM airgap for My 1969 Mach1 with 351 Windsor. Will it fit under my hood with the stock aircleaner and snorkel? If not I might go with regular RPM or any other suggestions such as weiand etc... Please make some suggestions.

Don't go for sure on this, but I'm fairly sure an air-gap will not fit a 351 under a stock hood. It's DAMN close on my 302.

air gap would not fit under the hood on my 68 coupe with a 351 W. I ended up using the regular RPM manifold

sorry man it wont fit because it is a inch taller. My buddy has a 67 with a 351 and he had to cut a hole in the hood to make it fit. So he just made a cool ass hood scoop there.

I have a 70 mach with a stock hood and windsor. A dropped air cleaner with just the regular perf rpm. This just barely fits so I doubt that the air gap would ever fit. This is off of the edel. website.
Intake heights
rpm - 4.3 front 5.3 back
vic jr - 5.75 front 5.3 back
air gap - 5.31 front 6.19 back

Sorry this may sound stupid, but what is a dropped aircleaner?? Ive never heard that before. I want to use the performer rpm with my stock blue filter and snorkel?? Is that possible? If not what about weiand stealth or other manifolds that perform like the airgap or regular rpm. Recommendations please.

Shop for air cleaners and you will see. It's hard to describe, but they are lower than conventional aftermarket air cleaners. They sit lower on the carb.

Why would you want to use the stock one?

This may seem odd but I really like the look of the original ones. I have an oversized airfilter in there that will improves flow on the cleaner. What other manifolds do you guys recommend for best bang for the buck.

Doesn't the dropped filter have a lower outside rim on the base? That is how it lowers the filter? It will look the same as a stock, just lower.

The 1969 have a blue case around the air cleaner. I will try to figure something out. What do you guys think of the Weiand stealth is that a good manifold? And how does it compare to RPM series.

Well I see some of your setup. I just looked at the weiand website and the stealth intake is 4.37 front and 5.06 back. Looks about the same as the rpm. If I were you I would go with the stealth or rpm. I don't think either one would cut your performance at all. I have the rpm. It might choke my new motor down a bit but I have the same clearance problem. Still the new 408 put down 519 fwhp and 534 ft/lbs of torque. I don' tknow if you would want to do this but a friend just did it to his 429cj torino with shaker and it worked great! He put a blue thunder intake on and wanted to retain his stock look with the shaker. Well He had another old windsor base and put his original snout on and just cut the base about 3/4 of an inch up. Like right where the cleaner sits on the carb. I have some plastic trim you use on sheetmetal to put on the sharp edges and it sealed great. He still has his original uncut cleaner just in case.
