I'm looking to buy a new top. And theres a guy that has a top. But he says its "cloth"... I didnt think they made a cloth top for the stang. If so does anyone a have pics of 1? Are they good to have vs. the vinyl top? Or should I just get a vinyl top?
i always thought that the cloth tops were better. more maintance keeping them clean and mold and mildew free but that can happen with a vinal top too. the cloth wouldnt be as apt to rip or shrink in cold weather.
Unless we're talking about making records ... Vinyl = poop.
Cloth would be nice, but I would NEVER wanna have a WHITE cloth-topped 'vert. The vinyl ones are hard enough to keep clean. Can you imagine trying to keep bird poop stains and whatever else from ruining a cloth top in white?
Cloth tops are waaaay classier than vinyl tops. I would definatly get one if you can afford it. Any mercedes or BMW or Jag convertables have cloth tops.
