Clunk/Thud Sound when Defrost or A/C is on.

ya i noticed a big loss of power too and gas milelage thats why most the time i will leave it off unless its extremely hot... houston weather

It is not so much a loss of power when the A/C is on. It is more when the compressor kicks in...and it kicks in, in every setting except the vent only setting.

Something is seriously wrong with my A/C clutch/system

hmmm, parasitic drag=power loss, a/c compressor w/ clutch engaged=parasitic drag

No doubt...but this is my third Mustang made between 94 and 03. I have never had this problem before. The power loss only happens for a second when the clutch engages...not afterwards. It almost feels like the engine is misfiring

Even the salesmen who sold me the car said something is wrong. Of course the service dept says no.

Has anyone else had this problem?
