When I'm driving down a bumpy road, the rear suspension makes clunking sounds. It's not a sound like something is loose or broken, but more of a lack of damping kind of sound. Is this normal?

i get a clunk when i hit bumps in mine. its the same sound as when you shift gears and theres that sound like the engine and rear end arent going the same speed when you let off the clutch....

I have the same problem with clunking sound. Its normal and annoying, what kind of quality do you expect from a 30k car:rlaugh: I also have the clunking sound with shifting so I'm glad i'm not the only one.

Jon: I had same problem. Check your parking brake cable, mine was not fastened correctly and slapping around on sharp bumps and tar strips in roads. Hope this helps!:flag:

I wasn't sure as to whether or not, if there was something lose, or if that was normal..I notice the noises, mostly when shifting from 3rd to 4th gear and then downshifting from 4th back to 3rd..I'll also notice, if driving at highway speeds, while in 5th gear, whenever I happen to accelerate or decelerate..I hear the clunking noises, but even more so when going over bumps..And yes, it's very annoying..Especially for a $27,000+ vehicle..:bang:
