I'm new to the mustang scene and stangnet. I've recently picked up an 89' Gt, I wanta put a 140mph cluster in it. Can I get any cluster from a fox body 90'-93' or do I need a specific one? thanks for the help

Direct bolt in?? You need a LATE 1989 cluster with 140MPH speedo. That's the only direct swap year.

90-93 cluster will require you to rewire your connectors as they are totally different. Or you can modify your stock cluster to accept the 90+ 140MPH speedo. It bolts in, but you may have trouble with the gauge face.

Also, the odometer can be changed easily so it matches your current mileage...but it will need to be removed from the cluster to do so.

the 90-93 years clusters are shaped a little different and dont directly bolt in the 87-89 years. but the 140 gauge was used starting in (late) 89 so you would need to find a 89 140 mph gauge. i dont recommend taking the speedo gauge off of a 90-93 cluster and trying to piece it into the 89. i tried that and its not worth the hassel

I believe that latemodelrestoration has a white face gauge kit that includes a new 140 mph speedo. Take a look at that.

i understand that, but LMR has a white face kit that comes with a 140 mpg gauge (not just face). I just saw it in their printed catalog the other day. I didn't see it online just now though, yo may have to call them.
