I'm going to be putting a t5 and clutch back in my car but I lost the bolts that attach the clutch to the flywheel. Does anyone know what size they are so i can pick some up.
Thanks

You dont want to use some soup-can-grade bolts in that application.

See 5spd GT's parts list here.

Good luck.

Yes, def use new bolts

M-6397-A302 are nw bolts and dowel pins. The kit is $12 or so.

Any of the rotational bolts (flywheel, clutch and driveshaft) bolts should not be reused. Toss em in the trash and buy new

Where can I pick those up? The dealership or will they be overpriced? Because I'm planning to install it back in this weekend.
Thanks

If you get the kit you'll have to go to summit and order it.

If you go to Ford they will sell them under the Ford parts system (and not ford racing) and they will be maybe $3 per bolt.

See if any local speed shops near you can get Ford Racing parts.

You could go with hardware store bolts but you would need grade 8 or 10.9 bolts and finding the correct one will be tough.

I could check the hardware store and just wait and order it if I can't find it. Do you or does anyone else know what thread size and the length of the bolts are?
Thanks

Dude, generic hardware store bolts are crap, even in higher grades.

The correct bolts have the correct shoulders too. You don't want to have a clutch go into orbit.

I got my kit from Summit.

If needing another source, I'd at least try a parts store for aftermarket bolts made for the application.

Good luck.

I wouldn't use hardware store bolts either. I value my legs. Buy the right stuff. The bolts are special as they have a washer around the head

You will regret getting those hardware store bolts when the pressure plate lets loose and the clutch disc comes through your floor and ankles like a circular saw.

Latemodel Restoration Supply has them, the Ford kit, which is what I used.

86-00 PRESSURE PLATE BOLT AND DOWELL KIT MISCFORD

Now get to ordering!!
