I finally bought an oem non-adjustable clutch cable and the retaining clip (c-clip) for my T-5. Not sure how to install it on the fork side of the cable. Is there anything to hold the cable onto the fork? Where does the c-clip attach to?

You install the c-clip right after you slide the cable through the hole in the bellhousing, it clips onto the groove in the nylon on the cable, this holds it in place. The end of the cable goes into the slot on the clutch fork, you will need to pry the clutch fork back to get the cable end in the fork.

Pressure/Tension holds the cable on the fork

I just replaced the clutch cable with an oem non-adjustable one and WHOA!!! No more sloppy play with the clutch pedal anymore. And my trans shifts like butter now that the clutch is disengaging completely now. Only problem is that the clutch engages a bit higher than i'd like and the firewall adjuster is all the way to the firewall. maybe give it some time to settle? other than that its awesome.

you;ll be waiting a couple hundred thousand miles for it to settle and for that cable tostretch. it's probably the quadrant. what type of quadrant are you using??

My clutch cable is aftermarket and horrible. Every stock clutch cabled car I drive is 10 times better. The stockers seem to release really high in the throw, and really easily. Mine releases really low (no matter how I adjust it) and it is mushy, and doesnt release quick. It takes about 1/3 of the throw to release while the sockers all take about 1/5 of the throw, for comparison. Should I get a stock replacement cable?

Yeah I have an OEM clutch cable on my car (very nice) and bought it from www.buyfordracing.com for $40 bucks and it comes with a new clutch fork...both are on my car currently...

My clutch grabs to high for me right now but it works...my clutch pedal vibrates right now everynow and then...so I just ordered a clutch pedal bushing (don't know nothing about installing it)...hoping it will help out...?

are you sure your clutch is engaging all the way? a semi engaged (or dragging) clutch can vibrate or pulsate under your foot.

good luck with it all.

Well alls I know is the farther I move the clutch pedal grab up (counterclockwise'ing the firewall adjuster) the less the pedal vibrates and most of the time it doesn't now...?

It is definatly disengaging all the way (well above 1inch off the floor before it starts to move)...

How hard is it to put that little clutch pedal bushing on?
