So i have a 91 gt and i just got the clutch and clutch cable replaced. I have been breaking clutch cables left and right for the past month. All of the clutch cables have been non-adjustable oem. I haven't been "hard" on my vehicle. So i hope some one can point me in the right direction because I don't know what to do.

are they routed right ? by oem you mean ford or parts store replacement ? could be melting on the header or too close and the heat is fraying the wire .

Are you trying to tie it to the fenderwell like it came from the factory? If so, don't. Run it forward of the headers and down next to the engine mount for a nice straight kink-free shot to the clutch fork.

Well the first one melted beause of the headers so we put a heat shield next to. Then the next one i stretched. Then the next one broke out of the firewall. All of the cables have been ran the same way. They are oem from different stores.

If you are getting them from parts houses then they are not "OEM". People including myself have lots of problems with parts store replacement cables. Get a ford cable or the one from maximum motorsports. I got the one from MM and there is a very noticeable difference between it and the parts store cables I kept breaking.

I'd add an aftermarket quadrant and firewall adjuster as well....make life much easier.
