My cable snapped on my way home from work yesterday. I had to push my car in the rain
. Anyway i went underneath to check and it snapped from the fork. I get the new cable on tuesday along with a steeda quadrant. Any recomendations because i want it to be done right and avoid this from happening again. I have a king cobra clutch kit. My main concern is maybe the throwout bearing was thrown off?

I've had the clutch cable on the notch that I used to have (Frankenstang now owns it) set on almost the exact same spot as it was when I first put the FWA and UPR quadrant on there 3 years ago, and I've only had to adjust it once simply to suit my preference for where the pedal "catches." Constantly having to adjust the cable tension is usually a sign that the cable is stretching out, which is usually caused by:
