Well the other day, the clutch pedal stopped returning to the original up position, so i just figured that a spring broke. Well i looked down at the clutch equalizer bar, and saw that the release rod had infact come out of the hole that its supposed to be secured into by a spring. But the spring was gone. But here is the problem. The equalizer bar that i am using is missing both holes on the top and bottom arms for springs. So now im wondering how the pedal was ever returning before at all. Its not a '65-'66 type bar either. If i remember correctly, we were running into problems with the bar hitting the headers before, so we went with some other type bar.
And now, the clutch and brake pedals are really loose and wobley when you press on them. Even when you hit the brake, it kindof pushes left and it pushes the clutch pedal with it too. So needless to say, something broke up in there, and i cant figure out what it is. Any ideas?
