I'm finishing up my t5 swap and just got it bolted to the engine and back in the car. I was installing my cable and noticed there was no resistance on the clutch fork and I could move it back and forth freely with my hand. Is this normal or is there suppose to be some type of resistance on it?

I want to measure mine. It doesn't look that tall.

im having the same problem with mine but i was driving and i pressed in the clutch and it had resistance then all of a sudden there was no resistance. none of my cables are snapped and seem to be working right but the clutch fork has no resistance and moves freely. is there some sort of spring that may have come off or broke? the clutch was replaced recently and if it was wearing out it wouldn't just all of a sudden stop working.

sounds like the clutch fork might have slipped off the little pivot ball on the inside of the bellhousing...thats the only thing i can think of...but i have no idea how that would happen unless you put it on wrong.....that might cause the clutch fork to slide?

Did you attach it to the throwout bearing correctly?
