clutch free travel?

does anyone else have a "dead zone" on their clutch? mine never did untill yesterday when i drove it, all of the sudden it has about .75" free travel untill the clutch startes to engage. i know on heavy duty trucks and older cars thats normal but im not sure about fox bodies. is is possible to adjust it to get that play out? thanks

mine had the same problem but my cable was streched. try pushing your pedal all the way down and listen for it to make a click maybe it just needs to be adjusted, but if not the cable might be streched.

edit: not sure if the dogbone cable can affect that, since i omitted that on my car but check that too.

pull up on the pedal, then try it, that should allow the adjuster to work.
