With a new clutch assembly and resurfaced fly wheel, is there any think special about mounting the pressure plate to the fly wheel. Can I just put it on and tighten the bolts. Does the pressure plate need to be alliged to the fly wheel in any direction.

Bolt the flywheel to the crank, then bolt the clutch assembly to it loosely, line it up with a clutch alignment tool, tighten it down, then remove the alignment tool. There is no special orientation that the clutch needs to be installed in relation to the flywheel.

Check at the top of this sub-forum in the useful thread index. It has a write-up in there:nice:

There are three dowel pins in the flywheel that your pressure plate will line up with. You bolt it up loosely and use that clutch alignment tool, and make sure it can be inserted and removed smoothly. While the clutch alignment tool is in, you torque the clutch/pressure plate combination down:)
