What is the difference between the ford heavy duty clutch kit for the 5.0 and the ford king cobra clutch kit for the 5.0?

The King Cobra is basically an HD clutch kit without the ridiculously hard-to-push-in clutch pedal effort. Same clutch disc in both kits. Most places I've seen it, the King Cobra lists for cheaper than the HD kit, too, so I'm not really sure who would really prefer the HD over the KC ... unless they just like having a really big left leg...?

When I had to replace my clutch, for some reason I had a hard time finding a King Cobra, so I got a HD. Both clutches hold the same, but the HD is like doing leg presses, and forget about trying to hold it in at a stop light. One time I tried to do the side-step shift method, where you let the pedal slip out from under your foot after you stomp it to the floor during a shift, and it hit me on the way back up and damn near broke my leg. Buy a King Cobra.

So it seems that it is just the pedal feel that is the difference?

Mustangs unlimited has the HD clutch kit for $174.95
http://www.mustangsunlimited.com/it...=Drivetrain&subCategory=Clutches&CatKey=74-01

Jegs and summit have the king cobra clutch kit for $209.99
http://www.jegs.com/i/Ford Racing/397/M-7560-C302N/10002/-1

Is it really that much better pedal feel for $40 extra? Also, is the HD pedal harder than the stock clutch?

Last I looked, 50resto.com had the KC for pretty cheap - I think it's on sale there, right now.
