clutch noise

I'm getting a ticking noise that goes away when I push in the clutch.Any ideas? Bent Fingers on pressure plate?,throw out bearing? I'd like to know if anyone else has had this problem and what was it.

i had the same problem, bad throwout bearing and bearing retainer. get a steel retainer and a new bearing.

Welcome to my world bro. My final fix was to install a firewall adjuster and and increase tension on the cable and throwout bearing until the noise goes away. Yes, I've got a brand new bearing and a brand new steel retainer as well as new clutch, fork, and flywheel. I can't pin down just what exactly is responsible for the noise but ensuring that the bearing is firmly seated against the clutch is what makes it go away. It's not exactly a bad thing either. When the ticking returns, I know it's time to give one or two more turns of the adjuster as the clutch wears or the cable stretches.
