I had my clutch and flywheel insatlled last week. 2 days ago I started hearing a loud chirping/squeling noise, kinda sounds like a bird or fan belt when it starts squeking. As soon as it push in the clutch pedal it goes away and comes back as soon as I let off. If i push the pedal down not even a 1/4" it will go away. Any ideas what it can be. It is real annoying and pretty loud. thanks guys. It also does it while im driving.

that sounds like your TOB already crapping out on you, meaning the place that installed your clutch did the ultimate hack job. Take it back there and tell them to fix it... thats absolutely ridiculous. Even my POS stock TOB didnt start squeaking until it had ~65000 on it

:bang: that sucks, I gave them(Ford Dealership) a new one to put in there. It was a FRPP one. You think it went bad already. It has only been a week.

well, I'm no expert but that is what it sounds like to me. It is possible that the FRPP TOB is not designed to work with a Mcleod clutch - I know that when I bought my King Cobra kit, it said explicity to only use the throw out bearing that was provided, otherwise I would get the same problem you're having. Mcleod doesnt make their own brand of TOB? First I would go to Ford, and tell them that you're having problems with their labor. You may or may not have screwed yourself by bringing your own parts, because I know my dealer provides no labor warranty on parts they don't sell you. It's worth a shot anyway, I can't believe you're having so many problems already dude. Good luck! and nice car

Yeah, The Mcleod Kit did not come with a TOB, so that why I got that one. Ford told me that they would not warranty anything since it was all aftermarket. But I figure if they screwd the install up then they would at least try and fix it. I dont want them to have to charge me for it also, which they will probally try to do. I already gave them a pretty penny for the install itself. Oh well, I will take it to them and see what they say. Thanks for the help

yeah, good luck man, I'd hate to see you get screwed because of something they may have done wrong.

WOW I hate to say this but i think the tech neglegted to spend the extra 5 mintes to remove the TOB from the clutch fork and just reused your old one.

trust me this crap happens all the time.

remove the clutch linkage cover on the side of the trans and look at the TOB a 2 week old one should look nice and new.

if it looks new then make you have a defective TOB,
