Has anyone had any clutch problems with the 2012 mustangs? I just bought a 2012 Roush stage3 a week ago and the clutch went out already. I've got 1015 miles on it.

i traded in a 2012 stage 2 roush for the stage 3. When i test drove the stage 3 the clutch felt alot different then the other. It felt like a clutch in a honda or something meaning you didnt have to push very hard. The stage 2 was nice and stiff unlike this one. Ive been driving a manual for like 20 years so its not me. I think it was just bad from the factory.

yea I didnt mean to blame you. reason I asked was my first manual was an 04 Cobra I bought new when I was 18. That clutch lasted about a month lol. (not a factory issue)

I took my '11 GT into the dealership yesterday. I have 18K miles on it, and I find it tends to grab "near the top" of the pedal travel. I would guess there's maybe 2" left before the pedal is completely out. The dealer (trans tech) told me it felt "fine," and "normal." I told him I was going to drive 6,000 miles to CA and back (from Michigan) in July and do some driving in San Fran. I told him I feared for my life, if I had to stop on a hill in San Fran and had to launch from 1st gear.

Apparently I'm out of the "wear warranty" of 1 year/12K miles on the clutch. The car pretty much drives fine in all weather conditions, it's just that I feel there's not much room for slippage if I'm stopped on a hill.

I've never owned an automatic, and have been driving for 27 years, so I "think" I know how to drive a stick.

Any suggestions?
