Ok i searched but need more help here.

i was driving and pushed the clutch in and heard a pop, the clutch has always been real heavy! now its real light to push in BUT there is some tension, not enough to get her into gear.

unknown on if stock quad or not?

what does it sound like? im thinking the cable but other people are telling me pressure plate?

I'd be thinking cable or the quadrant/pawl (if stock) letting go.

WHen I've lost cables that snapped at the ferrule, I'd get a pop and some slack would go into the cable. Then somewhere between a shift and a day later, the whole thing would let go.

It's a good idea to replace both items IMHO. A non-adjustable cable (stock-style) is best liked, though the FRPP adjustable piece did well for me for some years. And a quadrant and FWA (the latter if using a non-adjustable cable) of your choice.

You probably stretched the crap out of your cable. I've done that a few times already. Good luck.

could you guys point me in the right direction for some parts. really decent brand and price

its hard to work on my car here where i live, damn appartment nazis here.
it has a adjust firewall and thats all i can tell so far, gonnna check out the quad
in the morning

If you have a FWA, chances are you have an aftermarket quadrant. That'd be as it really just leaves the cable as the likely issue.

You can get an OEM style cable from Buyfordracing.com. It was $50 bucks shipped awhile back when I got mine.
