Clutch Question

I have a 2004 GT and when I slam second gear it sounds like a wet gym shoe squeaking on the floor and also feels like it slips. The car has less than 4000 miles. I never beat on it nor do I rest my foot on the clutch. I broke the car in without ever beating on it and it is my 4th manual car - can the newer clutches be adjusted?

You need a clutch adjuster. Steeda and UPR both make good ones.

Ryan - Would the clutch make this noise - I can’t believe the clutch wont hold!

Mine doesn't make any noise like that. It most likely does just need to be adjusted...there is no way your clutch can be slipping with only 4000 miles on the car.

I would hope not, I am nice to my clutch! Ryan - did you put your spings in yet?

No...my front ones were supposed to come Saturday but they didn't. So it looks like ill be getting them in during the week.
