I'M DOING MY T-5 SWAP.. IVE NEVER DONE A CLUTCH BE4.. NOW I GOT THE FLYWHEEL ON.. SO I TAKE THE ALIGNMENT TOOL AND PUT THE CLUTCH DISK(FRICTION) THREW IT..THEN STICK IT IN THE PILOT BEARING..NOW WHAT DO I DO WITH THE PRESSURE PLATE?? MY PRESSURE PLATE BOLT KIT FROM FORD RACING COMES WITH DOWEL PINS..WHAT DO I DO WITH THEM??

Theres 3 holes in the flywheel on the outter edge where you lightly hammer the dowel pins into. The pressure plate has the holes in it that accept the dowel pins, they keep everything spinning nice a true. Then just bolt the pressure plate to the flywheel with the bolts from the kit.

Yes it does, when the clutch pedal is released they spin together. Once you have everything assembled with the clutch fork then when you depress the clutch, the fork along with the throw out bearing press on the fingers on the pressure plate which then releases the friction disc from the flywheel and pressure plate.

OK I GOT THE CLUTCH FRICTION DISK IN AND HELD IT WITH THE CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL....I PUT THE DOWEL PINS IN THE PRESSURE PLATE, AND FINALY(30 MINS OF TRYING) GOT IT ALL LINED UP WITH THE FLYWHEEL... I THREADED THE BOLTS IN SO IT CAN HOLD THE PLATE AND THEN DID THE FINE AJUSTMENT OF THE CLUTCH FRICTION DISK WITH THE CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL... THEN TIGHTEND IT UP SO THE CLUTCH FRICTION DISK CAN HOLD IT SELF... mY TORQUE WRENCH ONLY GOES TO 200 IN-LBS..THATS 16.6 FT-LBS...IS THAT OK??? AND AM I SUPPOSED TO REMOVE THE DOWEL PINS AFTER IM DONE TIGHTENING THINGS UP???

The dowel pins shouldn't be able to come out once the pressure plate is bolted on. Keep them in the flywheel.

There are only 3 holes that the dowel pins are supposed to go in. They have tapered bottoms (3 of them on the flywhee) to stop the dowels from going all the way in.

ITS TOO BAD THE CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL IS MADE OF PLASTIC...ITS NOT VERY PRECISE..... IS THEIR A BETTER TOOL OUT THEIR MADE OF STEEL SO U DONT HAVE TO **** AROUND WITH THE FRICTION DISK........... U KNOW TO GET IT REALLY PRECISELY CENTERED

If you push in the plastic 10 spline it will center it, if it is the correct 1 1/16th inch size for the pilot bearing. Just push straight in and it will center itself...trust me.

Oh, it's real fun trying to get the transmission in using a "universal" clutch alignment tool........bad times, bad times, lol!

I used the plastic alignment tool and my tranny basically fell into place. Just use it.

I DID..EVRYTHING IS TIOGHT LIKE A TIGER...AND THE CLUTCH ALIGNMENT TOOL GOES IN N OUT NICE AND EASY.... I STILL THINK IT SHOULD BE IN METAL
