Clutch Repair

What do you guys think it would cost to replace (including labor) a flywheel, throwout bearing and pressure plate on a '01 mustang? I already have a new clutch, I just need to replace the rest of it as now I have some pretty bad clutch chatter going on.

If the flywheel has been gouged take it to a machine shop and they can smooth it out for about a hundred bucks, no need to buy a new one. My 96 has 115K on it and had release bearing, clutch and pressure plate replaced with labor $325. The flywheel was not hurt so the guy buffed it where it was on the engine and got off the old built up stuff and works like a charm.

Wow, I had no idea it would be that much. I thought it would be around 150-200 dollars at the most. Looks like this is more serious than I thought.

Oh by the way, when you said that you took the flywheel to a machine shop, does that mean that you actually took the flywheel off yourself and gave it to them? I really didn't want to have to do any of this work myself, and would basically be limited entirely to a mechanic. Thanks for the response,
