i installed a king cobra clutch and new flywheel a few months ago, and it now it feels like it's slipping. i'm not putting out too much more that stock horsepower and i need some ideas as to what the problem could be. it seems to be the worst above 3500 in third when floored, and sometimes it hits ike a brick wall; it just feels like i pushed the clutch pedal in halfway. it is an 88 gt. my old stock clutch exploded (literally) not too long after i bought the car, and i hadn't even beat on it. there was powdered clutch coming out of the bellhousing it has a brand new (under 200 miles) WC T5 in it. I really need some ideas. any would help

im not sure if there is any doubt, but i would be pulling the trans to see what gives with the clutch. could be contaminates or an issue with the PP fingers, weights, etc.
but driving like that would suck, so i might check it out.
good luck.

right when i was getting ready to pull the trans i noticed the clutch fork with the old cable on it so i thought i might as well check the old cable and it was sticking pretty bad so i decided to drive 150 miles to Summitt Racing and back (not in the car) and picked up a billet adjustable quadrant and after getting it installed and adjusted properly it did the trick--grips like a mofo. seems twice as fast now. i guess i shouldn't have used the old plastic quadrant. thanks for pointing me in the right direction!!
