clutch ticking?????

well i have a new kink cobra clutch and a clutch adj. when the clutch is ingaged it makes a ticking noise and when i put the pettle to the floor it stops. and ideas???

did you check the slack in the cable? might have too much slop in it down by the clutch fork end...

I like the TOB noise idea above. I would dial out all the freeplay like Tx said.

Noise pedal down versus pedal up could also be a bad throwout bearing. Mine was, although it was a constant grinding noise that stopped when you pushed in the clutch.
