I can feel my clutch starting to go, so I wanna replace it before i get stuck some where. I'm not sure if i should go with the oem or get a spec stage 1. ive heard the spec is cheaper than oem, so if thats the case i will prob. be getting that.

anyway to my point...are they're any advantages/disadvantages to getting the spec. and for those who have them how do u like them?

thanks,
Jake

as far as parts for the tranny go, Ford doesnt make the flywheel for my year anymore (95) i was very frustrated when i heard that, so we got it resurfaced (fine, its cheaper) and its fine, i wouldnt be surprised at all if they didnt make the rest of the tranny parts for my year either, im not to well versed in the tranny, and i think its slightly different then the 96-98, enlighten me plz. but of course, if its anything but the flywheel, aftermarket parts are always around =D

I have a spec stage 3 clutch its ok for street driving its a bit ruff off the start the clutch doesent like to slip (don't drink coffee or beer off first gear) but other than that I like the drive but about 6 months later my differential went maybe from all that speed shifting :jester: so a stage 1 should be good for coasting around the block. Or f*#k it go for the stage 5 :p . Dont forget to get the fly resurfaced or go for a aluminum lightweight fly your RPMs will sky rocket like mad  let us know what you do.
