clutches for the posi

got my 3.73's, the installation kit, and the speedo gear, just sittin here waiting to be put in. my stepdad says i should get new clutches for the posi while i have it apart and just switch everything together.

anyone know a part number for these clutches hes talking about, i have searched but havent been able to find it.

someone please help me out.

i agree.
while you have everything apart, you might as well spend some extra time and redo your trac-lok. they are like $45 from my local auto parts store. better to rebuild it now than in 3 months if it goes and then you have to tear it back apart.

I'd get the rebuild kit with 8 clutches. The stock unit and Ford rebuild kits only have 6. I've got a decent writeup on rebuilding the posi if you want it, I'll dig it up.

Anyway, either kit you use will probably be cheapest on eBay. I've bought and used this 8 clutch kit from these guys in the past.
