I got a clutch fork with the bellhousing I bought from a guy on stangnet, and the one he sent me has this weight on it. The one I took off of my car doesn't have this weight.

what is it for?

You just take a nut off of the back of the clutchfork and this weight will come off, I am just wondering what the heck it is for in the first place.

I want to use it, but I think I am gonna take that weight off of there.

any help or ideas guys???

I just opened up my new clutch fork from LRS today, and I was also wondering WTF was up with this weight. Did a search, and found this thread. I also had taken a few pics to post.

Is this weight stock on 94-95's?
Should it be removed?
What effects would it have if left on? (easier pedal effort? smoother pedal feel?)

The weight itself has a 96 part number on it - F6ZR-7C530-AA. So perhaps this was added to the fork assy. in 96?

The fork has part # XR33-7515-AA.

It was on the stock fork from 94+. I took it off and I didn't notice any difference in the pedal feel.
