I can get my hands on a cobra eaton m112 supercharger for cheap and someone said they will fit on any 4.6 block. Is this true? What else would i need to get my car running? What kind of power could i expect?

no, it is not true. the intake ports on the 2V heads are different than the 4V heads. you'd need to get a new lower intake for it if Eaton even makes one.

Just buy it and re-sell it. HAHA To much trouble to do and way to much money to waste for that little blower.

I've read several places of 2V guys trying to put the 03 charger on their car and generally end up blowing their motor within two weeks.

why would they blow their motors?

As long as you dont push more than 8-9 pounds you should be fine. The problem would be fabrication to make it bolt on and also needing and intercooler setup would be VERY costly to design or finding 03 cobra parts etc. Just buy a KB kit and save yourself the trouble. A 6 pound non-intercooled kit would put out more power than the roots would anyways.

Unless you reprogram your ecm, upgrade your fuel pump and fuel injectors you will blow your motor.

Get a KB kit.

Sorry...i assumed people knew you had to upgrade from 19 lbs injectors and get a better fuel pump. Thats common knowledge.

You are looking at close to $5500-$7000 to do the conversion. A lot of the cost is based on who will be doing the work.

The 2V ROOTS blower technical expert. Welcome back Tom, wondered where you've been. Fabricating a new intercooler/intake or something?

BTW, can't we make a sticky on the Pros and Cons on trying to use the Cobra blower? This is becoming the "which exhaust, shifter" thread. Reoccuring and annoying.

Sort of - my project has been on hold since I bought my first house. I'm closing on June 18th so hopefully I'll be able to get back into it soon after.
