Cobra brake installation

Howdy.

I've got a 95 GT that I just picked up a couple of weeks ago. I've got some new Cobra brakes that I'd like to install. I'm an aspiring wrench monkey, but I'm fairly clueless about how to start. Do you all know of any good resources that might help me out? Web sites, forums, books?

Well then be sure to ask. But really, the hardest part is bleeding the brakes and that's a cinch as long as you understand what it is you're trying to do.

Tell us how they work. I want to do a brake upgrade on my 95', but I'm not sure which brakes I want to go with.

They are an amazing difference and worth every cent of $400 and 30 minutes of labor. You will appreciate the upgrade after you have done it.

Gary you should paint your rotors before you install them with the color of you choice, it will look real nice.

Agreed. You dont want to end up with ugly rust on your rotors like me.

The GT's have larger pistons... but the Cobras have the bigger rotors

And Ill be glad to take JR's paint.

so if i were to swap calipers it would be better then cobra ones right?

No. Just better than stock, but not as good as the Cobra/Bullitt setup. The big rotor is the most important aspect.

how much does it cost to get a cobra front brake setup. My rotors and pads are gone.
