I'm running the Cobra computer but it requires 24# injectors.

I've tried running the J4J1 calibration on mine and it would barely run, even after changing the injector slopes. I wouldn't bother since it's timing curves are more conservative than the stock T4MO so you'll probably lose power on a stock motor.

Yep. The cobra computer is programmed for the 24# injectors but uses the same MAF from the GT which is cal'd for 19#. It adjusts the injector pulse to do this. Running the Cobra computer with 19# injectors would give you a pulse width way to short and the car would fall on it's face.

I can't resist, sorry...

The stock MAF isn't calibrated. The term "calibrated MAF" is purely an aftermarket creation -- it only exists because without a tuner, the only way to run different sized injectors with the stock EEC is to lie to the EEC about how much air is actually entering the engine. That way it calculates a pulsewidth that is compatible with the installed injectors.

The GT and Cobra use the same MAF, and the EEC has the same curve programmed into it in both cases. There are scalar values in the calibration that specify the flow rate for the injectors.

Prick mode? Naw. How many times have I called someone on a detail, big or small? Besides, you're right.
