cobra crash!

:jaw:  Holy hell that was horrible. It's a shame that it was the passenger that died. Now the driver has something to think about before he does something stupid next time, and the fact that he will have to live knowing that he killed his buddy for the rest of his life.

its allway the people woth Camaros that cant drive worth ****. poor guy that dies.

you cant blame a car preferenced person for this. generalizing it as that doesnt make sense. this is an individual act. innocent die, guilty live on. like i said, there is no justice in this world.

There will most likely be a laundry list of charges handed over to both drivers. Is there really any way that these guys won't be in prison?

Danny Heatly of the Atlanta Thrashers did something similar here in Atlanta on a 35mph road in the downtown area (Buckhead). We're talking very busy street, lots of pedestrians, and most parking is on the street. Well, Danny (with teammate as a passenger) races through one of the busiest areas of the Buckhea district (35mph zone) in his new Ferrari at well over 80mph......looses control around a corner.......totals the Ferrari and kills his teammate. Wasn't racing, but was at those kind of speeds. Even more stupid that he just did it on his own.

Very very sad, but the drivers didn't get what they deserved. Can't imagine being an immediate family member of the passenger.

This was posted over on SVTPerformance and apparently the driver of the wrecked cobra was a member on that site...they gave his username, but I don't want to spread it around, to save the driver any more misery via internet/email bashing. The wierd thing is, I read through the last few of his posts over there and he sounded just like you or me...not like some punk ass street racer. Who knows, maybe he rarely if ever street raced and this time he had bad luck. I feel bad for the family of the passenger who died, but also for the two drivers because of the guilt they will have to live with from now on...and for the families of all three who will also have to live with this. I hate to get on my soap box, but this is why I don't even think about taking part in any racing that isn't on a track.

i dont even think its even worth it to bash him online. i think hes got enough on his plate to hear a bunch of 18-50 year old mustang guys telling him how dumb he is, how much of a piece of ****z he is, how he killed his friend, yadda yad.

id hope no one would stoop to that, at least on the 94-95 forums of stangnet. this part of the site is held higher than the rest, plain and simple, whether anyone will admit it or not.
