Cobra front bumper for 02 GT

I would check out any salvage yards, or you could probably find an aftermarket one for cheap. any of the 99/01-03/04 front bumpers should bolt right on. They look pretty good I was thinking about getting one myself

I like the 99-03 Cobra bumpers as well but so far I have not been able to locate one that's not a factory piece, which usually means the fitment is good but the price is steep. The other day I got into a discussion with a guy that said you can find one in the aftermarket for $200, I bet him $10 that he couldn't. he lost.

One thing to keep in mind is the fog light issue. If you're somewhat profficient at wiring, and can easily re-wire a fog light plug, the 03-04 cobra bumper is easy. The 99-01 bumper is a simple swap, same fog lamp, just a different housing.

Definitely get the OEM bumper - and maybe ask RandyStinchcomb if the license plate holder is included - I know on new car deliveries they include one, so maybe it comes with just the bumper too...??

Get the 03/04 one though - much better look than than the 99/01 IMHO. Check out 02LaserRed2V's pics...:nice:

But he's also got a heat exchanger behind the giant gap towards the lower middle portion of the bumper. I don't think it looks as good when its just bare.

99-01 FTW! No fitment adjustments to make with a non-Cobra hood, foglights are plug and play, etc...

But I'm bias...

Yeah I agree with you guys on that - looks better with the intercooler...I think the thing I dont like about the 01 is the slope when you look at it from the front though:

vs. the straight edge of the 03:

Just an opinion though...both look good in their own right
