Hey guys. I am considering getting a Cobra grille insert for my GT to aid in cooling, but I want to know what installing it entails. If anyone has done this and would like to share, please do. I'd like to know what has to be modded, cut, drilled, glued, etc. Thanks guys and gals.

They give you a template with the kit of what you have to cut out of the front end. You trace it out, drill a big hole to get the saw in, and I used a jig saw with a fine blade and cut it out. Use masking tape around where you cut to keep paint chipping to a minimum, but if a little chips the insert will most likely hide it. You put the insert in, and its held in by 2 face tape and you have to drill 2 holes in the top and put two screws in the top for extra security. Its pretty easy to install.

Cool. Sounds easy. How much do you think it'd cost to have a body shop paint it to match my car?

Yeah, its not bad. As far as how much to have it painted, it depends on where you take it, call around and see how will give you the best deal.
