Cobra ID VIN

What letter in the VIN will idintify a 99 Cobra? I am looking at a car that I know has been rebuilt. The car has all the cobra parts but something seems fishy. I am looking for a quick way to check.

Run the VIN number by the folks at SVT (1-800-ford-svt).

Can't say for sure. If you're buying a used car then I recommend paying the money and running it through Carfax. May not turn up every problem, but it will verify if it's a Cobra or not and might turn up a couple of other issues you would like to know about.
