i have a 95 cobra with cold air intake and 70mm throttle body i have sitting in my gerage at home a professional products typhoon manafold upper and lower is that better then the stock cobra one or is the cobra one better.

Thanks Alot,

ok so the typhoon flows better i know this so i dont understand why should i not put it on there i am getting ready to put full exaus. on bbk headers bbk x-pipe and bassani cat back then i am going to cam or heads probly.

One other thing in the staging lanes at the track or in town at stop lights my car runs so hot, if i turn the ac on it lets it stay cool but that would make me loose HP witch sucks but i run faster when the ac is on cause of the 2nd fan i am gessing, how can i retrip that switch so i dont have to use the AC to keep that fan on... thanks guys

Here's what I believe happends when you put a tstat that cold. The tstat will alway open to soon not allowing the coolant time to cool of in the radiator. I went with a 180* stat that allows the coolant more time to be cooled off in the radiator. Just a thought.

Exactly why 160 is too much, very well said wytstang :nice:

Our Cobras like bigger MAF's...You can do one of those. Like was mentioned b4 the 160 stat's not a good idea. A cooler t-stat'll just open sooner, I remember hearing that our computers control our fans so I'd look into that to cool it off and have it come on sooner. Your fan could be on the way out too...I just went through that on mine. With all the normal cooling componets and a Fluidyne mine runs a bit past the "N" on the gauge in our AZ weather. Also make sure your lip under the bumper's still in tact as that helps direct the air to the rad. A chip's a waste at your cars current level. Gears were a decent mod in my Cobra...I went with the 3.73's...good luck with her.

so any one here ever try the 160deg. tstat just wondering i have a friend that has it on a 94 gt not moded at all and he does not have any problems other then winter when the heater does nto heat realy well but i dont drive it in winter.

IMO the Typhoon intakes are a piece of ****. Look at the machine work on them and the flashing etc. Toss that on ebay or in the trash.
:bs: :bs: :bs:

There are a few of us using these...Mine with a blower and it's fine.

Having said that tho, I personally LOVE the Cobra Intake, and when ported can make tons of power. I also love the finish when theyre polished and have a black/red colored plate.
